Breakfast might just be my favorite meal of the day. Everyday is a new day to nourish your body. With that in mind, I make sure that the first meal I eat is as complete as it gets. During summer, after my fresh pressed juice, I choose for either goat yogurt or soy yogurt – organic of course. A lot of muesli or granola contains to much sugar in my opinion. I prefer to make my own fresh version. I add:
- 1 tbs maca root powder
- 1 ts cacao powder
- 1 ts chia seeds
- 1 banana
- 1 hf blueberries
- 2 tbs goji berries
- 2 tbs mulberries
Lots of berries! I just love the sweet taste and the benefits they have to offer. I absolutely love the taste of mulberries. So sweet, like honey! They are high in vitamins C and Iron, which is great for people who need more energy. Mulberries also have a high amount of potassium, magnesium, and Vitamin K. Besides adding them to your breakfast or granola, mulberries make perfect snacks too. The maca root is my favorite superfood – it gives me more energy and really boosts my libido. When wintertime comes, I love to start. It has so many benefits and you can be very creative with it – as the Oatmeal Artist shows us.
