If you’re facing a tough week or just looking for a quick way to add more energy to your day – go for a green smoothie breakfast. I know I know, green smoothies are ‘soooo 2013’ – but trust me, these little green monsters can really make a difference. For me at least, they work really well. If I make sure I get all the veggies I need in a green smoothie in the morning, I feel more energised throughout the whole day. Here’s a simple, tasty green smoothie breakfast recipe! What do you need for 2 big green smoothies?
- 400 ml almond milk (unsweetened)
- 1 avocado
- 1 banana
- 200 grams spinach
- 2 tbs wheatgrass powder
- toppings: raw cacao nibs, bee pollen, mulberries
In a blender mix all the ingredients except for the toppings. Add some water if you prefer your smoothies a bit less thick. Pour in two big glasses and add toppings! You can also pour it in a bowl, add more toppings like fresh fruit and some granola and enjoy it with a spoon. That’s it – enjoy your breakfast 🙂
