Mango Maple Soda Mocktail

Mango Maple Soda with Aloe Vera

Time for another sweet mocktail recipe: the Mango Maple Soda with Aloe Vera! This one takes a little more time because you need to cook the maple syrup and the mango, and let this cool down. But in the end it’s all worth it 😉 If you’re a sweet tooth, ditch the Aloe Vera, but if you like the bitter taste of Aloe Vera, please follow the recipe.

What do you need for two Mango Maple Sodas?

  • 1 mango in pieces (frozen or fresh mango)
  • 125 ml maple syrup
  • 60 ml water
  • a branche of aloe vera
  • ice cubes
  • soda water
  • 1 lemon
  • fresh mint (garnish)

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine maple syrup, water and the mango in pieces. You just want to warm the mango and soften them a bit, but be mindful to not overcook. With a hand blender, puree the mixture. Set aside to cool completely. When ready to serve, fill each glass with ice, then 1 part mango puree to 3 parts soda water, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Stir to combine, and serve with a branche of aloe vera (the juice will slowly make the mocktail more bitter). Garnish your mocktail with some fresh mint. Enjoy!

I’m not a big drinker, especially not of cocktails, so this suits me perfectly!
